alritee... is there a shell command other than using cp + rm to rename a file? because i know nautilus and kde can do it, and i have to rename/edit the filenames of a mass of files (theyre rather large files). i want to write a shell script to let me do it instead of renaming them one by one on nautilus, but w/o chomping up my cpu.
thanks ahead of time.
