Has anyone using Kubuntu experienced freezes when right clicking on objects on the desktop? First the desktop freezes, then slowly all the other applications open start to freeze until eventually the whole environment is useless. To fix it, I have to restart X using ctrl+alt+backspace.
Alternatively, in Kubuntu, has anyone noticed that Wine causes X to crash and restart? Normally without warning, simply running a program in Wine causes it to restart X. Much like how XP avoided the BSoD by rebooting when a fatal error occurred. Ocasionally, the whole system freezes and I have power off the computer before it starts up.
If not, any idea what my be causing these things?
If it helps, I'm running Kubuntu 6.06 on a Pentium m Toshiba Tablet Satellite R10.
