Broken compiz
I tried giving compiz another try tonight, and got pretty far.
1- When I reboot my box gdm bombs when it tries to start X11 (why is it starting X11 instead of Xgl?) with the following error:
dlopen: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLco
(EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLco
(EE) Failed to load module "GLcore" (loader failed, 7)
2- From the command line, I can launch Xgl
/usr/bin/Xgl :1 -fullscreen -ac -accel glx:pbuffer -accel xv:pbuffer
and I get a working X session (with no actual windows, but I get a pointer and such).
3- I kill X with ctl+alt+delete, and from the command line to a /etc/init.d/gdm restart and suddenly gdm magically works.
4- I log into gdm and I have a working X session but none of the compiz magic and the windows are moving super slow.
Should I see both Xorg and Xgl running at the same time?
