Still wrestling with compiz

Here's my problem with getting compiz to work... there seem to be like 100 install instruction guides out there and none of them seem to work.

For example, this one for Ubuntu 6.06 says to install the linux-dri-modules*. Yet there is no package called linux-dri-modules in Ubuntu....

E: Couldn't find package linux-dri*
