SDFDS.

Dear Microsoft:

I hate you.

No, seriously. If it weren't for the fact that I have programming homework that must be done in VB.net, I would not even be PUTTING windows on this machine. As it is, I do have said programming homework.

So, I put Windows on this machine. THIS VERY MACHINE.

When I go to configure my network settings to create a network connection that's always on, it just tells me that I should already be configured for such nonsense. Only, there's no network connections in my network connections! And lo, I cannot get on the internets to fix this problem.

So here I am, formatting my slave hard drive - the larger of the two - and reinstalling linux because Winblows, well, blows.

Oh, and your tech support? Don't tell me I'm outside the service hours when the service hours go for ANOTHER THREE HOURS, according to what you have listed. Fuckers.

Moral of the story? M$ is evil.

edit: and I did a wonderful job of bungling up even that much, because after having installed ubuntu on the slave drive, I get a grub error on boot. Looks like I'm gonna have to format the master... Which will then, of course, take me on a vicious circle.

Okay, apparently windows just doesn't like the onboard ethernet adapter, because when I took the NIC out of my old box and plunked it in one of the expansion slots, it worked like a charm even before I installed the drivers. WTF, M$? WTF?

Now to get meself a nice debian ISO. I don't like Ubuntu as much lately as I did at first.
