I've just created the 
maclinux community, for discussion of running Linux and Unix on Apple hardware. I think that's a specific enough topic to warrant its own comm, since posting about running Linux on Macintoshes in any of the Mac or Linux communities is likely to attract the notice of only a few people interested in the subject, and massive cross-posting is annoying.

If anyone knows of any community promotion comms that aren't dominated by ratings communities and such (and so read mostly by people interested in that sort of thing) I'd love to hear about it. I think this community is needed and useful and I'd like to get it off the ground.

kernel_planet is LJ syndication for planet.kernel.org, including the blargs of many kernel developers. Unsurprisingly, Linus and AKPM don't seem to keep one.
