dual boot problem...boot loader not offering windows option
Hi...
I wsa here yesterday with a hardrive problem.
It´s going to tak e awhile for me to solve that issue, so, in the meantime,
I installed FC5 on the smaller drive I hvae (15gb) that was running XP.
I made room with QTParted on a knoppix disc, giving myself 5gb of the area that was occupied by XP (yeah defrag and all the shite first).
Then I proceeded to install FC5. I chose the new partition I had made, etc.
But nowhere during the install was I asked about installing a boot loader or configuring a boot loader to allow another OS.
Now, Grub is installed, but it is automatically booting Linux, without even offering the XP installation as an option.
How do I remedy this? I know I can edit /etc/grub.conf,
but I haven´t the slightest idea what to add to it.
I do know that the boot sector is hda1, xp is hda2, and the FC installation on hda3
I still have the other drive connected as a slave, which had a grub configured to
only boot FC5 (because that´s all I was using until the drive putzed out), but the BIOS is set to go to CD and then hda, so, as far as I am aware, the previou grub.conf on the now slave drive should have no bearing on booting.
Any assistance deeply appreciated.
