fc5 sure sucks
It broke having terminals handy in X (X is just a way of getting(a lot of terminals on one screen)
when I installed nautilus open terminal, it's about four down in the menu so I keep creating empty untitled folders on my desktop
When I run anything besides a terminal, the new window opens up below the terminal, which really sucks with
mplayer -fs *mpg
because for every file it reopens the window below the terminal
It broke multi-headed operation with my matrox g450, I had to copy the X config from a prior installation
It broke full screen mode in both mplayer and gthumb
Mozilla is acting totally schizoid. It wouldn't let me do a google search until I closed a bunch of tabs and windows, or restartedvmozilla, on multiple occasions
it broke gthumb, running it from the command line, no pictures show up until you click onthe "command line" button
If you do get gthumb running on the right monitor, in slide show mode, every time the picture changes on the right monitor, the left monitor blanks for a second
full screen mode isn't full screen, it blacks out the full screen but only shows the picture at it's native resolution
My sound card is now broken and sound doesn't work
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but then I've only used it for a couple of hours.
I swear I haven't seen this much suckage since redhat 3.0. Back when you just didn't install a "dot oh". It's really sad, I'm using an XP system at work (and I've only used windows for a total of about 8 weeks in 12 years) and it works better, and is more stable than my home desktop system with FC5.
