Vnc passwd
Anyone know how to fix/change this for gentoo?
I am not sure why it does this, but I use 12-15 character long passwords for anything exposed to the internet and I can't believe TightVNC Gentoo package caps passwords to 8 char long. This is temporary until iptables is setup right, then I'll just tunnel the VNC through SSH, but for right now I am stuck exposing that port to the net.
$ vncpasswd Using password file /home/dward/.vnc/passwd Password: Warning: password truncated to the length of 8. Verify: Would you like to enter a view-only password (y/n)? n
