Logitech MX3000 keyboard and MX600 mouse

Does anyone know which settings I should use to get the most out of my Logitech MX3000 cordless keyboard and MX600 cordless mouse? I'm using the standard settings that I had with my original (vanilla) kbd+mouse, so my browser (Opera* on Fedora FC5) doesn't respond to the forward/back or zoom buttons.

*p.s. Firefox behaves the same way (i.e. doesn't respond to those buttons) so it's not just a browser issue.
