Yellow Bars on an LCD Monitor
I was wondering if someone might be able to clue me into what the problem is. I have an Envision H190L 19" LCD monitor.
When running at it's full 1280x1024 I've noticed with Linux I get these yellow oscillating vertical lines; a dozen of them going across the screen. I've tried multiple distros (Ubuntu, Fedora Core 5 & 6, Debian, & Slackware) and multiple desktop managers (xfce, fluxbox, kde, & gnome) all have exhibited the same behaviour in the 1280x1024 mode. I've also had occassion to try it in Windows 2000 and that drives the monitor at 1280x1024 without the strange artifacts. Likewise I've tried Knoppix too and the 1280x1024 mode appeared artefact free.
Any idea what's going on here? I'd very much like to be able to use this monitor in it's optimal mode. Any advice would be appreciated.
