Slightly Off-Topic
Okay, so I know this is a bit off-topic, but bear with me.
I've decided to convert a somewhat old desktop into an Ubuntu, MythTV-based PVR. As I've been contemplating this move, it occurred to me that I have a bunch of bits (CD-RW/DVD drive, floppy drive, etc) from an old P4 laptop that had the cooling system crap out on me - and I found myself wondering whether there was any way to convert the module components from this laptop into peripherals for my PVR, or for some other purpose I haven't divined yet. Could anyone point me in the direction of a supplier for conversion casings, wiring elements, or some general guide on how to do this? Has anyone actually tried it before?
Thanks.
