MandrakeOne Spring2007 DVD
For some reason I haven't considered Mandrake Mandriva since before the name change. I did use it back in 2005 or possibly 2004. This week I installed it for a client as a quick and dirty solution to get a LAMP server up and running, with a Gnome desktop.
"LAMP + Desktop?" I hear you scream. Yes, you see it wasn't to go online at all. It's to sit in a booth in an expo as part of their display. The client wanted their website on show, but with out any kind of internet connection. (Wireless = too expensive and troubling). So I ended up just installing a stock standard Gnome and adding the -AMP part as a dirty tack on. What's security?
ANYWAY, I was considering trying out Mandriva and wondered if anyone else has had any experience with the latest One Spring 2007 version? (Even though it's autumn in my part of the world).
