Hardware upgrade pathway?
I've purchased a 7600GS nVidia based AGP video card to replace my annoyingly undersupported ATi card. I've also bought a 22" LCD widescreen monitor which is currently working on the old card.
Now the widescreen monitor pretty much Just WorkedTM with OpenSuse (while I still can't get Windows to drive it in digital even with the proper drivers, but that's another story) But I'm soon to install the new video card - so...
What's the best course of action in order to have the change over run smoothly?
I'm using OpenSuse10.2 with Yast2 fully operating. Will Yast recognise the new hardware and do everything for me or will I have to fart around in the console with modules and the kernel to get things playing nicely?
