Gnome options?

In Fluxbox, I can tell an application to remember its size and position. That way, for my case, it starts up as large as it can be and is out of the way of GKrellm - A very nice option.


Now that I'm in Ubuntu (and kinda like Gnome), is there any way to acheive the same results in Gnome?
