help with install

(also posted on linuxnewbies)

Ok, this is what I'm running:
* Processor: AMD Geode GX500 (366MHz)
* Memory: 128 MB PC2700 DDR
* Hard disk: 10 GB 3.5" IDE
* USB keyboard
* USB 2-button mouse
* USB ethernet adapter

I was able to get debian-live installed to a usb drive and booted into a live environment. Partitioned and formatted the hard drive and.... well, that's about it. I can get internet to work , so I can use apt, wget, what ever you need. But I'm stuck. I can't figure out how to install to the hard drive. I tried using debian-netinst but when I boot from USB with that, it won't find my network.

I even tried using the stage3 from gentoo, but compiling the kernel always crashes, even with genkernel.

I'd love to get debian on there, but not sure what steps to take. Any advice or suggestions are welcomed!!!!!
