xUbuntu configuration questions
I've got it up and running, yay!
Now I need to figure out how to make it play nice with the rest of the machines in my network.
I'm hoping for answers within the context of xUbuntu's menu & administration system. I can go into the command line and edit configuration files by hand if I have to, it's just that I'd rather not have to. :)
1. How do I assign it a specific IP? I want to set the IP to 192.168.2.103 so I can tell other machines where to look for shares on it. When I go into the network settings dialogue, there's no option for setting the IP.
2. I've added a couple of applications that I couldn't find in "Add & Remove" (tightvncserver and xtightvncviewer) with sudo apt-get install. How do I add these programs to the Applications menu?
