Network Monitoring Software

What are some of the favorites used for network monitoring.
I am looking for a net-snmp full blown network monitor.

I know the typical answers are like openms and nagios, I was wondering if there are any new (or old) utilities that have made your life as a sys admin easier.

Bonus points for collecting hardware information from solaris and aix based boxes :)
