Linux LiveCD distro for translators
I might be crazy...
I don't know....
But, I've created a Linux LiveCD specifically for translators, based on PCFluxboxOS, that includes
the tools I use every day in my translation business, such as openoffice.org (office suite) and OmegaT (CAT tool),
plus other goodies.
So far, I have a LiveCD version (412.1mb .iso file), which is now available, and a more full-featured version at 1.1gb
which will require a DVD.
Both can run from your CD/DVD drive, without altering or endangering your current system, or, can
be installed on your hard drive.
For translators considering linux, it is a great way to try out some FOSS tools,
and, for translators already using gnu/linux, it is a prefab distro that hsa the tool you need
already deposited in it's repos and prefabbed into the distro.
