Asyncronous crucifixions

Hi, geeks!
I miss kqueue under Linux... EVFILT_AIO filter especially. I need to catch events placed by aio_* functions under Debian, and do this promptly. Of course, I know that I can call aio_error until I will be codger, but there shall be clever way...
I know, that epoll have no filters at all.

What can I do?
