softphones: viable
How viable is a softphone? I'm looking at them for our office and I'm not sure if they're as awesome as the websites make them sound.
As some of you may recall, I'm running an ltsp server here that supports about 50 desktops. if I were to run the softphones, I suspect I'd have to beef up my ltsp server to make it flow well, but does the software actually work?
Also, is there some program that has a similar impact on the system that I can run as a test, to see if the system can handle the stress?
