mouse problems
I got an old 486DX box (haha) with a single 249 mb HD, 8mb of RAM, 66mhz chip and 1mb of video RAM. I also aquired an old HD with 412 mb that I installed as a slave hd. I've install Red Hat 5.2 for connectiity with the web and ms windows.
Its doing freaky things, as is expected from Linux. Firstly, It dials up an internet connection through the ms windows machine during boot, when it tests for http. Secondly, the mouse doesn't work. I've tried lots of configurations. Its an ms p/s 2 intellimouse plugged into a serial adaptor in what I believe to be com port 1. I'll probably be able to figure out and resolve the dial up problem, but the mouse is freakin me out, as i remember the last time i had the same problem when I installed Red Hat. any suggestions?
