upgrading

i'm going to format my primary hd, and i want to upgrade from red hat 7.2 to 7.3 (and windows 2k to xp), but downloading the new iso files will take me several days. if i can help it, i'd like to just install 7.2 again and somehow upgrade to 7.3 through patches and such. is this possible?
