HOWTO Encourage Women in Linux
Some good points on issues concerning gender, society and technology... (though nothing startlingly new if you take an interest in that area). I would say that most of the points made about prejudice and not alienating newbies and outsiders would translate to any group that has a generally limited member demographic, dealing with people from outside that demographic.
It would be interesting to see if some of the points raised translated to other countries and cultures outside of the US/UK (hint hint).
