I have just installed Red Hat 8.0 on this computer. I had Red Hat something a while ago, but since it was a pain in the rear to get the printer to work, we dumped it. Windows was giving me more headaches than it was worth, so we finally went back to Red Hat. I have a Creative Vibra 16 sound card which I am not sure how to get to work. I am thinking ALSA, but I am not sure I know enough. (Maybe a few hours of being able to concentrate and I would have it.) I also have Gateway Vivitron 1572 monitor which was not detected in the setup. I'm not sure what setting we have it on right now, but we only get the 256 colors (yuck).

Any help would be appreciated. (Except, of course... go back to Windows, freak.)
