cursor

I was fooling around with xsetroot to change my cursor appearence in twm, and
unknowingly set the cursor to a file which does not exist. My xserver fails to startup now and tells me it is unable to find my cursor (b/c I specifed one that does not exist). Is there a config file that the cursor path is written to? I have never had this problem before, so I am completly lost here. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
