What do people use for backup solutions?
I've never really bothered before but now I'm in charge of a server managing mail and web for a few domains and backups are now essential.
I've been thinking of using a cron job and dd to create an image of the root partition and copy that across the network. Is this sane at all?

Is there any 'standard' backup methods?
I'd prefer not use removal media but will if I have to. I'd prefer to backup to another machine here.
