Question:

Setup is a Thinkpad 570 running Debian 3.0, custom 2.4.20 kernel. External, USB wireless ethernet adapter (Linksys WUSB11 v2.6 based on the ATMEL chipset).

Problem is, no matter what I do, USB won't recognize when I plug anything into it. I'm using the uhci.o alternate driver, and when I initiate /etc/init.d/hotplug restart, it finds the USB hub just fine. I plug in the device and it receives power from the laptop (power LED is lit).

The device works fine, as it's been used on other machines.

However, on the laptop, it's having issues noticing when something new is plugged in. Sometimes (once a week?) it'll detect something plugged in, then I might get something like:
hub.c: connect-debounce failed, port 1 disabled
When connecting or disconnecting the device.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
