Maybe you can help me...I am running a linux server at home and I have a problem.
The ADSL modem/router is set to 'half bridge' i.e. all traffic is forwarded to one network port. This then goes into my linux server and the IP is the IP of my server not a local network address. The server then routes the traffic to the rest of my network. It essentially acts as a firewall/proxy. The problem I have is that the ADSL modem/router keeps dropping the PPP connection every 2 minutes.
Do you think my linux set up is at fault or is it the box?
The box works fine when plugged into a single PC or plugged into 2 PCS (without half bridge).
