CD-RW Back-Up

I want to use my burner to backup some stuff. The way I would like to do this is by having cdrecord, cdrdao, or something like that formate the disc so I can just mount the disc and copy files into /mnt/cdrom1 when ever I wanted with out having to make a toc file or anything like that.
