Windows fonts
I've just installed Mandrake 9.1 on my box, without a Windows partition anywhere in sight. (Yes, I now own no Windows boxes. I feel somehow... cleaner...) I'd like to install some Windows fonts though, for to aid my web browsing - everything's in bloody Verdana, and I'd like to see things like they were composed.
Previously I just grabbed them off my Windows partition, but, er, now I don't have any. I've got Win98 and XP install CDs around; can I grab the fonts off those somehow without actually having to install them? (I've also got an iBook, but I don't know if the fonts on that would be convertable.)
Technically, I could grab fonts off my work laptop (NT), but you know what? It doesn't have a CD burner, and I don't have any floppies around. I suppose I could even plug it into the phone line, dial up, upload the fonts very tediously and then download them here... but really, I can't be fucked doing that.
Incidentally, 9.1 seems very nice so far.
