Resolution problem
Hi there,
I installed Slackware 9.0 the other day, and I am having some problems getting X to run in the resolution I want.
I have a GeForce2 GTS Pro 64mb card, with a Samsung SyncMaster 750s monitor (17", published Sync stats: Horizontal 30kHz to 70kHz, Vertical 50Hz to 160Hz).
Whenever I try to start X with 1280x1024 resolution, it complains, saying that hsync is out of range. According to xf86cfg, at 1280x1024@60Hz, the required hsync is 31.5-64.3 which should be within the range my monitor supports.
I am at a stumbling block here, if anyone has any advice (or even just gonna tell me I'm stuck at 1024x768), it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
