I want to thank those of you who helped me install xine on my machine.
I have a question, though. I might purchase some French DVDs, but they'd be set to Region 2. How does playing DVDs from different regions work on a computer? Is it software-controlled or hardware-controlled? Would I have any problems playing a Region 2 DVD?
