WarX'ing

I'm writing a paper/treatise/guide on wireless war(-walking / -driving / -flying / -boating / -cycling / -kayaking / -cartwheeling) and the exploitability on 802.11(a/b/g).
While I know this has been done time and time again, with a very limited focus (I have ~20 megs of text files and PDFs on the subject...) there isn't really an all-encompassing guide for network security administrators / network administrators / security analyisists / home users / aspiring WarX'ers...
I have a moderate amount of experience in WarX'ing, but was interested in any commentary, stories, examples, logfiles, whatever that the computing community at large could give me...
I know of the potential legal gray-areas of WarX'ing, however, as it currently stands there is nothing illegal about toolin' around with some friends searching for APs...and it's gray-legal to connect to an open AP and utilize their bandwidth...and those are the two of the main areas I'm focusing on...
I have the 802.11 standards docs and am going to start pouring over them to translate into common-English...

But, if you were writing this, what would you say?

(Sorry for the crossposting...)
