Linksys in Linux

Has -anyone- gotten a Linksys 802.11b card to work in Linux? I've recompiled with wireless lan support, compiled the pcmcia-cs module from source since apparently kernel linux support blows.. I've then played with wlan-ng to no avail, trying to get it to show up at all .. I must be missing something, because I can get the device to be probed, and I can get it to match to modules .. but I can't get a wlan interface to set things..
