NVIDIA Kernel Modules

NVIDIA have changed the way they distribute their kernel-tainting graphics driver. I can't download a .tar.gz and compile the module by hand, I have to download and execute a .run file, use it to dump some files on disk and then work out where to 'make'.

I can think of many ways this could be a lot easier - for starters, "make" should not try to fiddle with kernel modules, nor install files.
