connection problem

I'm having an internal network connection problem.

I'm running some network services on my computer (192.168.0.2), Mandrake 8.2, Apache 1.3.x, sendmail 8.12.x, no telnet.

Computers outside the LAN can access my computer (http://www.amokk.org) for the most part. Having issues with everyone connecting to 110 for email (they have accounts, pine works, can send and recieve, just that 110 port connection for their pop3 mail).

A computer in my network cannot connect to my computer (192.168.0.3), a Mac running OSX.2. I updated its hosts file to include 192.168.0.2 and the domain name amokk.org but nothing changed, all it does is time out on all connections.

Got out the Windows 98 laptop (192.168.0.5) and it connects just fine to my computer, except the port 110 issue.

The mac will ping the router (192.168.0.1) and get a response, but no response from my computer.

To add even more issues, my computer will not get a ping response from the router or any other computer on the LAN, and loses 70-80% of the packets to outside addresses (yahoo.com, linux.com, livejournal.com, etc). It pings itself just fine.

The hosts.deny file had a lot of the internal IPs in, and I've deleted them and put them in hosts.allow, but nothing changed.

Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss something that should be obvious? It's frustrating because the computer could connect in the past.

Any ideas?
