Fetchmail & Sendmail Not Playing Nice Together
Lately, perhaps as the result of an apt-get update, Sendmail and Fetchmail have started to foul up. It goes like this: fetchmail tries to pull down my messages from my main mail drop machine, sendmail determines that the next message in queue has an unresolvable domain address in its email and rejects it, and fetchmail crashes.
In effect, this means that most spam messages now have the power to bring my email downloading to a dead halt until I log into that remote machine and delete them manually. And I get a lot of spam.
Can someone tell me how to tell sendmail to stop trying to verify host email addresses? Spamassassin can deal with 'em once I pull them down; I'm most concerned about not having all my mail blocked by recalcitrant spam messages (and I suspect that the host verification is causing a delay in pulling the mail down anyway).
