Jakarta Tomcat
Does anyone have any experience with Jakarta Tomcat 4.1.24 and RedHat Linux (specifically 8)? If so, I'm at about wits end with it. We *have* to use it at work, and guess who gets to figure it out? Mmhmm.
Anyway, I have 4.1.18 running on our current webserver. However, it seems that machine is not going to be nearly beefy enough for java (PII Xeon 450/256MB RAM), so I'm replacing it with a OS-wise nearly identical machine. But with Tomcat 4.1.24. I fought to get 4.1.18 to work on the old one, and just can't seem to get 4.1.24 going on the new one. All I get is a 500 error - Context.
Here's the kicker, even after going through server.xml, tomcat4.conf, and catalina.bat I cannot get it to do anything. It's running in unision with Apache 2.0.46 (as is the current server).
Anyway, any input would be valued, loved, and appreciated.
