SB Live Problems...
Disregard, I accidentally kicked the audio cable out of the socket. :-)
I just switched to Debian (testing), with a 2.4.7 kernel and I'm trying to get my SB PCI 512 working. Everything I read says it is the same chipset as the SB Live. So I'm trying to use Creative's emu10k1 driver.
I've found a couple of similar resources (like this howto) and followed the instructions, but can't seem to have any luck.
I've compiled the kernel with emu10k1 built in and with it as a module and can't seem to get it to work. The setup I currently have is sound modularized in the kernel and I have soundcore.o, ac97_codec.o, and emu10k1.o insmoded.
Seems like everything is cool. I checked the permissions in /dev and everything should be cool, but when I load up XMMS or CD player, they act like they're playing the song, but I get no audio. I checked volume and shit, but I dunno. I've been stumped on this for like a day.
Anyone have ideas?
