EDI
Those evil three letters. At work we use it, well, because we are in the Medical profession, and it's standard. However, the setup we have is aging, and needs to be replaced. I'm wondering if anyone knows a proven, reliable EDI platform that will run on Linux/x86. Or OpenBSD/FreeBSD?
However, it needs to meet some requirements. The big one, it has to be able to work with ODBC/IFS/OS400. Yeah. Big one :) Big Bad Mainframe :). Specifics, it's running OS/400 V5R2 (latest release/build). I would also like to be able to use a Lucent Portmaster 2 or 3 with it, instead of the utterly ghetto setup we have right now (which I won't admit).
If you have any ideas, pass them my way. I would prefer Open Source as my budget for the year is gone, and next year I need to replace our Apache/Tomcat "cluster" and network backbone. However, if you know of something *good* and under $10,000, I'm game.
Thanks for your time, and sorry if this is incoherent. Being a one-man IT shop for a week is no no no fun :)
