network newbie

Okay, so I turned on NFS on my RH9 box.
I would like to share files with my iBook.
The thing is, I presently just have them sharing an internet connection with a switch.
(There is another RH box (frankenstein) sharing the connection with the same switch).
I suppose for the iBook (tony's computer) to see the RH boxes (localhost and frankenstein) I either need to:
a) add a Nic to the main box and run the ADSL into one and run the other out to the switch, to which the iBook and other RH box are connected. (I have an extra card here).
or
b) get a router.

Does this sound accurate?

And, if I do "a" (cheapest, therefore most feasible, since I don't have to buy anything), what further configuration must I do?
I understand that the main box (localhost) should then assign addresses to the other two (frankenstein and tony's computer), is that true? (A windows user told me that).

I want to share the internet connection AND share files, maybe a printer.

Also, should I create a directory for shared files, instead of simply sharing my /home directory (from my user acct, not my root directory, of course).
Mostly I want to have rw access to the RH box, but it would also be convenient if I had rw access on the iBook and other box (frankenstein) from the main box, too.

Is it possible to change the name of the iBook and/or the localhost just to simplify things?
If I could change them the localhost would be "kali", the iBook would be "ananda".
"Tony's computer" is a bad name, and it has an apostrophe and a space.
Frankenstein, built with my own hands, would remain the same.
