baaaaad problem!
i have mandrake 7.2, running kernel.. umm.. 2.2.17 i believe? or is it 2.2.24.. i'd tell you but i can't even type uname right now. i was trying to upgrade my glibc with an rpm (i know, probably a stupid idea, but too late now) and now EVERY command i type, i get "FATAL: kernel too old". the only thing that DOES work is the rpm command, i just am not sure which rpm's i need to reinstall from the mandrake cd(s) in order to repair this problem.
i am freaking out here because if i reboot..my system will be dead..it can't really run ANYTHING..and i pray to god my web browser doesn't die or i will really be screwed because i won't even be able to restart it to read your responses. :P
hope someone can help.
