Anybody feeling bored?
If anybody is feeling bored and would like to write me a nice bash script, I would be very pleased.
I need the script to look at one directory (determined by a line in the code) and display all the files on the screen.
Then you move up and down the files (Like in a menu) and select the file you want.
When you have found the file you want, pressing enter will load Xmame full screen with the appropriate file.
Also, if possible it will be parsed so the extensions don't appear.
I will be running it in KDE, full screen, so hopefully when someone choose a file, it will immediately start xmame.
I am making an arcade cabinet/getting a used one and using it as an arcade machine. I decided to use linux because I really
don't want people seeing the windows desktop between games, it just looks bad. Also, hopefully, it won't crash and I will never have to
connect a keyboard to it to reset it or turn it off!
If you want more details reply to this post.
Thanks!!
