Satellite internet access? or a Router ?

All,

The only high speed internet access where I live is via satellite. I am now in desperate need of a high speed connection at home.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? I need to know of a good provider, as well as what type of modem I can use. I know that the 'DIRECWAY DW4020 Broadband Satellite Internet System' is a stand alone system that you just plug into, but I can't find a provider that has it available for home use.

If I can get a ethernet-based modem, does anyone have any good suggestions on a home router I can use to connect my Linux box up after the install? I do have an old dual-boot machine that I use for backups that I can boot into windows for them to install the satellite system initially, but all my other machines are running Linux, and that system is usually running linux, as well.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!!!
