sound in fluxbox????

I know that under KDE sound is dealt with using something called ARTS or some crap. And also that something is ran to enable it in GNOME. But what about under fluxbox??? Im clueless. Ive compiled flux to support GNOME and KDE, can i just run the app GNOME uses? If so what is it, lol. Or just how do i enable sound in Fluxbox? Any help would be appreciated.... thanx.
