help please...

i just installed red hat 7.1 and i was hoping someone could help me get my network card running. i was having a problem compiling the drivers, but i found a new rpm with pre-compiled drivers and installed them. however i'm not sure if i have them in the right location and stuff because it's still not seeing the card. i'm prety sure there's other stuff i need to do to complete the installation, but i'm a newbie and can't find any directions for this. if anyone knows of a link i can go to for help or is bored and feels like helping me out i'd appreciate it greatly because it's the only thing stopping me from getting windows me completely off my main computer. thanks, byes.
