Arg. Preliminary experiments with the cpan module aren't working as they should. Any reason why, every time I run 'perl -MCPAN -e shell' and try to install anything, cpan insists on reinstalling perl? I finally let cpan have its way, yet still it thinks I desperately need 5.6.1 (which I, having let cpan already install it, have). And I thought I was going to be slick by having cpan install libnet for me, turned out I still had to do it manually.
