My current Linux quandary ...
Yeah, so, newbie here. I've got a few questions.
I've mounted my NTFS/Windows XP partition but I'm only able to access it while logged in as root. How can I access it with my normal account? (I'm able to mount and unmount it with my account but I just can't ... puruse it.)
How can I play MP3s with XMMS? I have v1.2.8.
I would like to mount my external hard disk. However, my kernel doesn't support FAT32. Is there a way to add FAT32 support without recompiling my kernel? (I haven't ever done it before and I actually afraid to try it.) If there is no other way to add FAT32 without recompiling, how do I recompile?
What's the command to find out what kernel version I have? I know it's 2.4.someting.
I'm running Redhat 9.
That's seems like a few too many questions to ask in a first-time post but, I'd rather ask them all now then spread them over a week's time.
Thanks for your time ... and your help.
