Silly KDE question here: how do I put a nice icon for an application into the KDE panel at the bottom of the screen?

Specifically, I want to put Gaim and Mozilla onto it. I'm using SuSE Linux 9.0. I installed the RPM's for Gaim and Linux, but they didn't put any entries into my K menu; the only way I can start them right now is from K -> Run Command.

So to add them to the panel, I right-click on it and choose Panel Menu -> Add. The Application Button submenu only shows me what's in my K menu, and Gaim/Mozilla aren't listed there. So I guesst I have to select Special Button -> Non-KDE Application? That puts an icon into the panel, but it's the default K gear icon... when I right-click on that and select Properties, it lets me select an icon from dozens of other icons for other apps, but nothing in there for either Gaim or Mozilla, so I think I'm going about this the wrong way.

What's the proper way to put either of these apps into the panel?
